11/17/2020 8:48:00 AM | General
The CSUN Under Armour Faculty are a group of professors and lecturers committed to assisting student-athletes in their academic success and professional development. The group was started in 2016 by Professor and Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) Ed Jackiewicz and has since grown to nearly 30 faculty members from various majors across campus.
Over the past few years, this group has assisted students through workshops, panel discussions, game attendance and one-on-one conversations. They are here to help you, the students. In the coming months, GoMatadors.com will introduce you to the various members of CSUN's UA Faculty.

Sports played/enjoy watching:
I played football in college, [Ventura JC, Eastern New Mexico University (DII), and CSUN (DI-AA)] I enjoy all sports, including football, basketball, track & field, and wrestling. I was a three-sport student athlete in high school (football, wrestling, and track). I was a pole vaulter in high school and at the community college, before pursuing football fulltime.
Personal: I have been at CSUN as a student (1991-2000), staff member in the Educational Opportunity Program (1997-2011), and now faculty (2011-present). I was born in Oxnard, and grew up a fan of all sports, including football, basketball, track. In high school, I wrestled Chuck Liddell in 1987 before he became the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion in 2005.
