GAME 1
- Jillian James and Sami Garcia combined on a one-hitter as CSUN defeated Mount St. Mary's (Md.) 10-0 in the opener.
- James went the first five innings for the Matadors. She gave up the lone Mountaineers' hit, a Kate Wade single with two outs in the bottom of the second. James faced only one above the minimum, retiring the final 11 batters she faced in a row. Garcia pitched the final two innings for CSUN. Garcia retired the Mount in order in both the sixth and the seventh, as the Matador pitching staff retired the final 17 in a row to end the game. The duo struck out six and only needed a total of 80 pitches in the game (54 strikes).
- Jaymi Steward's one-out RBI single in the top of the first plated Kira Cauley to give the Matadors an early 1-0 lead. The Matadors took advantage of a Mountaineers' error in the top of the third to score an unearned run. Jessica Alexander's RBI ground out in the top of the fourth scored Jessica LaPierre to make it 3-0 in favor of the Matadors.
- CSUN scored three times in the top of the fifth. Journey Rojas and LaPierre recorded runs batted in as the third Matador run came in on a Mt. St. Mary's (0-11) error. The Matadors loaded the bases with two outs in the top of the seventh. Alexander walked to pick up her second RBI of the game. The fifth Mount St. Mary's error of the game during Megan Stevens' at-bat cleared the bases and put the Matadors into double digits.
- Steward was 2-for-2 with a walk, and two stolen bases. Alexander went 2-for-4 with two RBI, and two runs scored. Savannah Favre was 2-for-3. Cauley and LaPierre both scored twice.
GAME 2
- Kenedee Jamerson tossed a four-hitter as the Matadors defeated Brown (1-7) 5-1.
- The Matadors scored three times in the bottom of the third to take the lead. CSUN scored twice off a Brown error. Cauley added an RBI single that scored Steward.
- Jamerson retired the first 11 batters she faced to raise the Matador total to 28 in a row before Katie O'Leary singled with two outs in the top of the fourth. Madeline Charles followed with a single to bring the tying run to the plate in Karina Chavarria. With the count 2-1, Chavarria fouled out to left for the final out of the inning.
- CSUN loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the fourth. Stevens popped to third to bring up Jamerson in the clean-up spot. Jamerson's opposite field single to left scored Steward and Pudi Hernandez. Rojas flew out to left for the third out of the frame.
- Brown got on the board in the top of the fifth when Nicole Kim's single plated Elyana Tsiouplis. Jamerson retired the final six batters she faced to improve to 8-2 on the season.
- At the plate, Jamerson was 3-for-3 with a walk and two RBI. Alyssa Vazquez went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Cauley was 2-for-4 as the Matadors improved to 14-4 on the year.
