"Blake played very consistent golf for us the entire year," said head coach Jim Bracken. "He manages his game very well and had 11 rounds at even-par or better this year. He earned his first collegiate win at UCSD and was in the top-20 in almost every tournament so I'm really looking forward to seeing where he takes his game next year. Blake will be a leader both on and off the course and definitely has the potential to challenge the season scoring record as a senior."
Brothers led the Matadors this season with a scoring average of 72.1 which ranks seventh for a single season in the program's Div. I history. He took a total of 1,514 strokes over 21 rounds and has a 73.1 career scoring average in two seasons at CSUN.Among his three top-10 finishes and a trio of top-20 showings, Brothers won the St. Mark Intercollegiate (Apr. 19-20) for the Matadors' first individual tournament win since Mory won the Big West Championship in 2017. Brothers finished fourth at the Big West Championship which was CSUN's best individual finish since Mory's win in 2017.
