NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - CSUN Athletics has announced that a limited number of spectators will be allowed into fall outdoor athletic events on campus. Â
Â
The following spectator policies will go into effect starting with the women's soccer regular-season opener on Thursday, Aug. 19 against Long Beach State:
Â
CSUN Athletics exists within a vibrant campus with 38,000 overall students, 4,000 staff members, and an expected 2,000 student residents this fall. Our overarching mission is student academic success – athletic competition plays a particularly important role in the success of our student-athletes. Â
Â
CSUN's COVID Safety measures may differ from other sports and entertainment venues across Los Angeles, as well as other campuses. Those differences reflect our commitment to providing a safe learning, working, and living environment for all those within the unique context of our college campus.
Â
With athletics events bringing a large number of campus visitors, CSUN wants to provide reasonable safety measures that are not substantially more restrictive than the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Our goal is to provide a safe environment whole encouraging strong fan support of our programs and student-athletes.
Â
Spectator policies for indoor women's volleyball in The Matadome will be released in the coming weeks.
