
CSUN Announces Updated Spectator Policy for Indoor/Outdoor Sports

- Fans are encouraged to bring their own water into the venue, as concessions will not be available.

CSUN's COVID Safety measures may differ from other sports and entertainment venues across Los Angeles, as well as other campuses. Those differences reflect our commitment to providing a safe learning, working, and living environments for all those within the unique context of our college campus.

CSUN has announced an update to its spectator policy for Matador indoor athletic events on campus which will go into effect February 3.
The State of California continues to require indoor events of a certain size to enforce the following. All fans age 18 and older coming to events in The Matadome will be required to provide either proof of vaccination or verification of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event. Both digital and physical records will be accepted, but they will need to be shown to security to gain access to The Matadome.
These indoor event modifications will be evaluated on an ongoing basis, and any changes will be communicated to the public. Indoor athletic events had been closed to the general public for the past two weeks in alignment with the university beginning the Spring semester with remote instruction.
INDOOR EVENT ENTRY POLICY
ALL FANS AGE 18Â AND OLDER WHO ATTEND AN EVENT IN THE MATADOME MUST PROVIDE PROOF THAT THEY:

A)Â ARE FULLY VACCINATED or
B) HAVE RECEIVED A NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST TAKEN WITHIN 72 HOURS OF THE EVENT:
Vaccination Records:
The following forms of vaccine verification are accepted:
- COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided and dates doses administered; OR
- A photo of a vaccination card; OR
- Documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider; OR
- State of California Digital COVID-19 vaccine record that includes a QR code, name, date of birth, vaccine dates and vaccine type (Can be found https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/)
For the purposes of this guidance, people are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19; two weeks or more after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna or other vaccine authorized by the World Health Organization), or two weeks of more after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson [J&J]/Janssen).
Negative COVID-19 Tests:
The following are acceptable as proof of a negative COVID-19 test result:
- A printed document from the test provider or laboratory, OR an electronic test result displayed on a phone or other device from the test provider or laboratory.
- The information must include four items; person's name, date of test performed, type of test performed and negative test result.
- Accompanying proof of identification in the form of a driver's license or other document that visibly identifies the person on the test result is required for ages 18 and above.
- "Home tests" are not acceptable as proof of a negative COVID test.
- All spectators, event staff, and media coming to campus will be required to complete a health screening survey before arriving. Spectators will receive a green check on their device when clearance is given to come to campus; this is to be shown to Event Staff when entering The Matadome.

All spectators, event staff, and media will be masked at all times whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, regardless of the size of the event, except when actively eating or drinking.

Fans are encouraged to distance where and when possible.

The first 1-3 rows of seats behind team benches will be closed to seating.

Spectators are asked to exit The Matadome through the bleachers and out the side exits and maintain distancing when entering and exiting

No concessions will be available, but spectators may bring their own water bottles.
