Matadors Open Fall Exhibition Schedule at Long Beach State

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - The CSUN men's volleyball team plays the first matches of its fall exhibition schedule this Saturday (Oct. 22) at Long Beach State. The Matadors will meet Concordia on Court 2 at the Walter Pyramid at 9 a.m. before taking on Vanguard at 10:30 a.m., UC San Diego at noon before wrapping up the day against Long Beach State at 3 p.m.
"Since we've only had one week of practice, Saturday will be a good test to see where we are at this point of the fall," said CSUN head coach Jeff Campbell. "We have a bigger group of veteran players returning this season and although we don't have as many question marks heading into the fall we will still play a lot of different lineups throughout the day."
CSUN will then travel to Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 29 to compete at the USC Fall Tournament at the Galen Center Pavilion. The Matadors will split into two teams (red and black) and play six matches on an action-packed Saturday of volleyball. CSUN closes the Fall exhibition schedule Nov. 18-19 with two days of competition at the UCLA SAC Tournament at the on-campus Student Activities Center.
The Matadors return five starters and 11 letter winners from their 2022 team, including All-Big West first team selection Kyle Hobus along with 2022 All-Freshman Team picks Olumide Allen and Donovan Constable.
