Kyle Hobus started all 28 matches playing in 95 of CSUN's 98 sets as a redshirt senior ... earned first-team All-Big West for the second consecutive season after leading the Matadors with a career-high 341 kills ... averaged 3.59 kills per set which ranked fourth among Big West players ... also ranked sixth in the Big West, averaging 4.14 points per set ... finished the season with a .254 hitting percentage on a career-high 798 swings ... was CSUN's leading blocker with 64 total blocks (9 solo, 55 assists) and ranked third in both aces (16) and digs (121) ... his blocks and digs totals were career-high while he matched his career-high in aces with 16 ... was CSUN's kills leader in 19 of 28 matches and reached double figures in kills 21 times in 28 matches ... put down a season-high 21 kills in consecutive matches against No. 6 Stanford (Feb. 3) and at Princeton (Feb. 8) ... notched his fourth career double-double with 17 kills and 11 digs against Daemen (Mar. 18) ... hit a career-best .889 with eight kills on nine errorless swings in CSUN's 3-0 victory at Fairleigh Dickinson (Feb. 11) ... had an impressive all-around match with 17 kills, five digs, one ace, and a career-high eight blocks in the Matadors' 3-1 win at UC San Diego (Feb. 24).

Hobus started all 22 matches playing in 67 of CSUN's 72 sets as a redshirt junior ... was named first team All-Big West for the first time after leading the Matadors with 234 kills while averaging 3.49 kills per set ... ranked sixth in the Big West in both kills per set (3.49) and points per set (4.16) and was 12th in hitting percentage (.276) and 15th in aces per set (0.24) ... heads into his fourth season with career totals of 426 kills, 31 aces, 177 digs and 69 blocks over 132 career sets ... hit a career-high .276 on 510 attempts while also posting 16 aces, 88 digs, 50 blocks and 25 assists, all season career-highs ... put down a season-high 23 kills on two occasions; against No. 14 UC Irvine (Apr. 8) and against No. 3 Long Beach State (Apr. 16) ... also had 21 kills and a season-high 12 digs for his third career double-double at Long Beach State (Apr. 15) ... had 12 kills and 10 digs for another double-double in CSUN's upset win over No. 12 Stanford (Feb. 26) ... also served a career-high four aces in the win over the Cardinal and was named Big West Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week (Feb. 28) ... hit a season-high .588 with 10 kills on 17 errorless swings in the Matadors' 3-0 win over Vanguard (Feb. 9) ... notched a career-high five blocks against No. 9 UC San Diego (Mar. 31) ... reached double figures in kills a team-high 13 times in 22 matches.

Hobus started six matches while appearing in 16 of CSUN's 41 sets during the abbreviated season ... finished the season with 41 kills while ranking second on the team with a 2.56 kills per set average ... hit .173 on 110 total attacks while also adding 21 digs (1.31 dps), five blocks and three aces ... put down a season-high 15 kills on .444 hitting in CSUN's 3-1 win over No. 12 UC Irvine (Mar. 21) ... also added six digs, one ace and a career-high three assists in the win ... posted seven kills, a season-high seven digs and a career-high four blocks at No. 12 UC Irvine (Mar. 20) ... also had seven kills against No. 1 Hawai'i (Apr. 9).
CSUN - 2020 (Redshirt Freshman)
Hobus appeared in 13 matches and 50 sets in his first season on the active roster ... finished the season as CSUN's leader in kills per set at 3.02 which ranked eighth in the Big West ... was named honorable mention All-Big West and to the Big West All-Freshman Team in addition to earning Big West Co-Freshman of the Year honors ... finished second on the team with 151 kills while hitting .212 on a team-high 358 attacks ... tied for second on the team with 12 aces (0.24 saps) and was fourth in digs with 68 (1.36 dps) and blocks with 26 (0.52 bps) ... pounded a season-high 29 kills against Concordia (Jan. 10), the second-highest total in the Big West this season ... also added a season-high 14 digs against the Eagles for his first collegiate double-double ... had 24 kills on .346 hitting in his collegiate debut against McKendree (Jan. 9) ... was named Big West Freshman of the Week on Jan. 13 ... posted 13 kills while hitting a season-high .611 against No. 12 UCLA (Feb. 28) ... served a season-high two aces against both USC (Jan. 31) and Lindenwood (Feb. 7) ... posted a season-high four blocks on three different occasions, most recently against USC.
