CSUN Track and Field picked up two wins on the women's side, while at the same time the Matador Men recorded six top-three performances last Saturday at the University of California's Brutus Hamilton Invitational. For the second consecutive week, Arianna Alexander won a 100m. Alexander lowered her personal best in the 100m to :11.74 to pick up the victory. Yanla Ndjip-Nyemeck won the 100m hurdles in a time of :13.42. Ndjip-Nyemeck has won all three 100m hurdles races she has entered this season. She later lowered her season-best in the 200m to :24.07 to finish second in the event. That time is the seventh fastest by a CSUN freshman in school history. Quinn Garity turned in the top individual men's performance for CSUN. Garity finished second in the 5000m, recording a time of 14:49.29. The Men's 4x100m of Christopher Allen, Chris Pitts, Raphael Adedigba, and David Phillips, Jr. posted a season-best time of :41.14 to finish second. The Matadors are at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Mt. SAC Relays this week.
Women's Golf is in sixth-place as a team following a score of 310 in Sunday's opening round of the 2022 Big West Championship in San Luis Obispo. Four Matadors are in the top-25 through 18 holes as Fernanda Sosa is CSUN's low player in 10th-place following a four-over 76 on Sunday.Â

Baseball (15-14, 4-8 Big West) dropped three games this past weekend to No. 24 UC Santa Barbara at Matador Field. The Matadors conclude a four-game homestand on Tuesday with a non-conference game with USC at 3 p.m. Â
Beach Volleyball (15-14) took two of the five pairs to three sets before falling 5-0 to 16th-ranked Pepperdine on Saturday in Malibu. The Matadors play their final tri-dual of the season on Saturday (Apr. 23) in Long Beach before the Big West Beach Volleyball Championships get underway Apr. 29 in San Luis Obispo.Â
Women's Tennis (7-7, 3-4 Big West) dropped a pair of 4-0 decisions to No. 21 USC and No. 24 UC Santa Barbara this past week. CSUN has now played four national ranked opponents this season. The Matadors host Long Beach State Apr. 16 at 11 a.m.
Men's Volleyball (6-13, 1-7 Big West) dropped a close four-set match at home to No. 14 UC Irvine on Friday before falling in straight sets at UCI's Bren Center on Saturday. The Matadors close the regular season this week with a home-and-home series with No. 2 Long Beach State.Â
Softball (13-26, 3-9 Big West) was swept by Cal State Fullerton this past weekend. The Matadors have now lost six of nine league games by one run, and two additional games by two runs. Jaymi Steward hit her team leading fifth home run during the series against the Titans. CSUN is at UC Davis Apr. 15-16.Â
No. 24 Women's Water Polo (12-12, 0-5 Big West) was idle this week and wraps up the regular season on Saturday against Long Beach State at noon.Â
