NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - The CSUN women's golf team is set to host a tri-dual match against CSU Bakersfield and Long Beach State this Wednesday (Feb. 1) at Soule Park Golf Course in Ojai. The tournament is dedicated to the memory of Stephanne A. Gohlke in support of the prevention of human trafficking.
The Tri-Match will open with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. and will feature one round (18 holes) of stroke play. The low four scores of five players will count toward the team total. In case of a tie for the first-place team, the No. 5 player's score will serve as the tie breaker. In case of a tie for the individual title, the back 9 scores will serve as the tie breaker. If a tie remains, the last 6 holes on the back 9 will serve as the tie breaker.
The Course
Soule Park Golf Course is one of the Country's most highly regarded municipal golf courses. Situated in the spectacular Ojai Valley, Soule Park was ranked the 48th best municipal golf course in the country by Golf Week magazine in 2014. The golf course at Soule Park was originally designed by renowned architect William F. Bell in 1962. Bell was responsible for many other iconic Southern California golf courses including Torrey Pines (North and South) in San Diego and Sandpiper in Santa Barbara.
