CSUN Completes Day 2 of USC & Long Beach State Tournaments

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The CSUN women's tennis team continued action Saturday at, the USC Women of Troy Invite, and the Long Beach State Fall Invitational
USC
Victoria Santibañez Luna and Angela Ho shutout Megan Carmichael and Alexis Sam, 6-0. Sasha Turchak and Yuliia Zhytelna defeated Tomi Main and Klara Kosan, 6-0.
The Matadors went 0-4 against the Tigers in singles, but Santibanez Luna and Turchak went to three sets before being handed a defeat.
LONG BEACH STATE
Sofia Dermenjyan and Jasmine Tolmoyan fell 6-4 in the semifinals of the Gold Doubles Bracket to Long Beach State's Mathilde Tranberg and Hana Becirovic Novak.
Tallia Harper and Emma Moratalla Sanz dropped a 6-2 decision to Long Beach State's Sarah Medik and Doga Akyurek in the Gold Bracket's other semifinal.
Harper advanced to finals of the Gold Singles Bracket when she defeated Boise State's Ana Conde Vendrell 7-5, 6-2. She will face Milena Gevorgyan of Cal State Fullerton in the finals.
Dermenjyan lost in the semifinals of the Grey Singles Bracket 6-3, 6-4 to Audrey Large of Cal State Fullerton. She will play in the consolation bracket on Sunday.
Tolmoyan fell in the finals of the Red Singles Bracket to Mathilde Tranberg of Long Beach State 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5).
