COACH JIM BRACKEN SAID
"With the weather we faced today, we were just happy to get the round in. Unfortunately, we didn't get a fourth score which doesn't happen to this team all that often. But Nick played well and we have three players in the top-20 so we'll bounce back and put a solid round together tomorrow."
The Matadors will be paired with UC Santa Barbara, Hawai'i and Sacramento State for the second round which is scheduled to get underway Thursday morning at 7:20 a.m.
