CSUN steps out of conference play for the final time on Tuesday when the Matadors host No. 2 UCLA. ESPN+ will stream the game beginning at 3 p.m. with Darren Preston on the call. Tuesday will have a Fan Fest leading up to the game, with Rally Towels being given out to fans while supplies last.

Big West play resumes on Friday when CSU Bakersfield comes to Northridge for a doubleheader that begins at 1 p.m. The series concludes on Saturday at 1 p.m. It is Celebrate You Week as the CSUN Pride Center will be on hand at Matador Diamon, with Free Celebrate You shirts being given out while supplies last. With no video coverage, the live stats and ticket links are available on GoMatadors.com.

UCLA swept Arizona State over the weekend to improve to 43-4 on the year. As a result, UCLA is ranked second in all four major Top 25 polls.

After Tuesday, UCLA will have played seven games against six Big West opponents this season (Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, 2x, CSU Bakersfield, CSUN, Long Beach State, and UC San Diego).

UCLA is third in Division I in batting (.345) and seventh in earned run average (1.57). Maya Brady is fourth in D1 in total base (114), ninth in RBI (53), ninth in slugging (.884), 11th in hitting (.449), 14th in home runs (15), and 15th in hits (62).

CSU Bakersfield broke a 13-game losing streak on Saturday when the Roadrunners defeated Hawai'i 8-5 in game one of the Big West doubleheader. UH would take game two of the Saturday twin bill 3-2 to drop the 'Runners to 7-34 overall, and 2-16 in conference play.

Karissa Munsey leads CSUN in hitting (.275), home runs (4), and RBI (15). Brianna Sanchez has a team-high four wins (4-14) and leads the team in complete games (8), innings (101), and strikeouts (47).

In a series that dates to 1985, CSUN leads the all-time series 51-17. The Matadors have won 12 in a row dating back to Feb. 27, 2015, when CSUB defeated CSUN 7-6.

CSUN and UC Riverside began game two of their Big West series at 3:41 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 22. After 15 innings; the score was tied at two. The play was suspended after over three and a half hours due to darkness.
The game resumed at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Apr. 23, with CSUN scoring four runs in the top of the 16th, going on to a 6-5 victory over the Highlanders.

- The Matadors recorded 48 putouts for the third time in school history (vs LBSU in 2001 and Cal State Fullerton in 1999),
- The four CSUN pitchers tossed 16 innings, which is tied for the second most in school history (LBSU, 2001, CSF, 1999).
- Kylie Galindo became the sixth Matador to record eight at-bats in a game, the most recent being Amber Copelan in the 2001 Long Beach State game.
- Mikayla Carman is now the 19th CSUN batter to post seven at-bats in a game, with the most recent being three players registering seven in the 1999 Cal State Fullerton game.
