Allen-Eikens and Bostick Claim All-Big West Honors

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---CSUN Men's Basketball's two leading scorers earned All-Big West honors on Tuesday, the league office announced. Senior forward De'Sean Allen-Eikens collected All-Big West First Team accolades while Dionte Bostick received an Honorable Mention. The all-conference honors are the first in their respective careers.

Allen-Eikens has enjoyed a career season in his final collegiate campaign in 2023-24. The 6-6 forward finished the regular season fourth in The Big West with a career-high 18.5 points per game. He also registered new personal bests in rebounds per game (5.3), assists per game (2.3), steals per game (1.0), field goal percentage (49.0) and 3-point percentage (35.6) in 31 starts. Allen-Eikens reached double figures in scoring in 28 games while he scored 20 or more points in 13 games. He completed the regular season at 575 total points, the ninth-most in a season in CSUN history.
Among his standout performances during the year, Allen-Eikens scored a career-high 34 points in CSUN's regular season finale at Hawai'i on March 6. He would surpass 1,000 career points on Nov. 21 while he turned in a 32-point performance in a win at Pacific on Nov. 29. Allen-Eikens would also score 17 points in a historic win over UCLA on Dec. 19, earning him Big West Player of the Week honors.
In two seasons with CSUN, Allen-Eikens has totaled 929 points while averaging 14.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Overall, he has scored 1,490 career points, which includes stints with the North Dakota and New Orleans prior to CSUN. Allen-Eikens' All-Big West First Team selection is the 12th for the Matadors since joining The Big West and first since 2021.

Bostick has also boasted a career season this year, averaging a personal-best 15.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals while starting all 32 games. He wrapped up the regular season 10th in The Big West in scoring average and eighth in steals per game. Bostick would also lead CSUN with a career-high 48 3-point field goals made as he shot 35.6 percent from long range. He scored in doubles figures in 24 games this season and surpassed 20 points in nine contests.
Bostick received Big West Player of the Week honors at the start of Big West play after averaging 21.5 points per game in two CSUN wins. He scored a season-high 27 points in a road victory over Cal State Bakersfield on Feb. 15 while he also posted 18-point performances against UCLA (Dec 19) and UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 10) in two road wins.
Also in his second season with CSUN, Bostick has averaged 14.1 points over his CSUN career, tallying 749 total points over that span. He has played 88 career games at the collegiate level with his first two seasons spent at Murray State.
CSUN opens play at the 2024 Big West Championship on Wednesday in a first-round game with UC Santa Barbara at 8:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ while Ghizal Hasan and Alan Zinsmeister have the call at GoMatadors.com/Radio.
