NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - CSUN Women's Volleyball head coach Aquiles Montoya has announced the signing of Madison Jameson-Rodriguez and Annie Gilmore to continue their volleyball career with the Matadors in the fall of 2026.
"This recruiting class of two is a great one that we are so excited about," said Montoya. "Not only in the immediate 2026 season with a lot of returners coming back, but in the future years. What they do is bring more versatility and size, as we are losing two senior front row players with tremendous experience. Their personalities are fun, but all business on the volleyball court, which is the perfect balance that we like here at CSUN. We can't wait to get them here."
Jameson-Rodriguez, a 6-3 middle blocker from Las Vegas, Nev., is CSUN's first signing for 2026. Jameson-Rodriguez is a middle/opposite who plays for coach Joshua Baugus at Arbor View High School in Las Vegas. She earned Second Team All-Region and 5A Southern-Mountain First-Team All-League honors for the Lady Aggies. Jameson-Rodriguez ranked first in the state of Nevada in hitting percentage and top in the 5A Southern-Mountain league for multiple stats. Her team won 79 matches in her last three seasons.Â
Jameson-Rodriguez also played club volleyball for Vegas United.
"Madison is a great addition for us in the Middle room," said Montoya. "She is someone who is still young to the game, but you can't ignore her athleticism at her size. Her ability to work with every player and be team-oriented is what has us so excited to bring her into such an experienced Middle room. Her ability to attack off of one foot reminds me of some of the players that we have used on the right as well, so we will look at that option too."
Gilmore, a 6-1 outside hitter from St. George, Utah, is CSUN's second signing for 2026. Gilmore played club volleyball for A4 in Orange County before relocating to Utah. She prepped at Desert Hills High School in St. George, Utah. Gilmore played for coach Craig Allred at Desert Hills, where she was a three-year starter for the Thor. This season, she has played in 104 sets while posting 407 kills (3.90 kps) along with 277 digs (2.70 dps) and 57 aces.
"Annie is a tremendous pin hitter that we see contributing immediately to our anticipated 2026 season and beyond," Montoya said. "Her first contact and physicality at the net allows us to get creative and look to utilize her on both pins, and in the front and back row. Her competitive spirit and desire to keep building the CSUN legacy were an immediate draw. Matador fans will enjoy watching Annie in a CSUN uniform."
