
CSUN Finishes Eighth at Weather-Shortened Ptarmigan Ram Classic

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The CSUN women's golf team wound up finishing in a tie for eighth after the third and final round of the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic was canceled due to weather on Tuesday at Ptarmigan Golf & Country Club.
Play was suspended on Monday after 32 of 36 holes in the first two rounds were completed. CSUN was 11th at 6-over par on Monday before moving up into sole possession of ninth place when the tournament was called. The Matadors wound up posting team rounds of 293-295 to finish at 12-over 588.

Senior Kim Turgut was CSUN's low scorer, finishing in a tie for 12th at even-par 144. Turgut was ninth after firing a 3-under 69 in round one, before finishing round two with a pair of birdies and 12 pars in a round of 3-over 75. The top-15 finish was her second of the season.

- Following Turgut, fellow senior Gracie Piar moved up into a tie for 24th at 3-over 147 following rounds of 73-74. Piar had birdies on two of her opening three holes in round one before also notching a pair of birdies in round two.
- Ariya Soldwisch finished in a tie for 31st at 4-over 148 after carding rounds of 75-73. She posted 16 pars, one bogey, and one double bogey in round one before adding three birdies in round two.
- Nicole Tanoue tied for 39th at 5-over 149, posting a pair of birdies in round two's 73, which followed a 76 in the opening round.
- Lily McGowan, making her CSUN debut, finished in a tie for 70th at 15-over 159 following rounds of 78-81.
