Record-Setting Day for CSUN at Wolverine Invitational

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah - The CSUN women's golf team opened the 2025-26 season in record-setting fashion on Monday as the Matadors hold both the team and individual lead after two rounds of the Wolverine Invitational at Talons Cove at Saratoga Springs.
CSUN opened the tournament by firing a program record round of 8-under 280 before finishing the afternoon round at 5-under 283. The Matadors (563) will carry a six-shot lead over Wyoming into Tuesday's final round. The previous program record for 18 holes was a 4-under 284 at the Matador Invitational in 2014.

Individually, sophomore Ariya Soldwisch is tied with Cal State Bakersfield's Sarah Mutai atop the individual leaderboard at 6-under 138. Soldwisch had six birdies in round one, including four of her final five holes of the round, to finish at 4-under 68. She then added an eagle and five birdies in round two to finish at 2-under 70.

- Following Soldwisch, Gracie Piar is one shot back in a tie for third at 5-under 139. Piar had five birdies in round one to finish at 3-under 69 before adding three birdies in carding a second round 2-under 70.
- Nicole Tanoue is also in the top six at 4-under 140. Tanoue posted six birdies, four coming in round two where she finished at 4-under 68.
- Senior Kim Turgut made it four Matadors in the top 20. After carding four birdies in a 1-under 71 in the opening round, she finished round two at 3-over 75 to finish the day at 2-over 146.
- Meghan Paracuelles rounded out the CSUN scoring, sitting 39th at 7-over 151. She had a pair of birdies in round one and three more in round two.Â
