IRVINE, Calif. - For the first time since the 2013-14 season, CSUN Women's Golf had multiple players named to the All-Big West Team as senior Gracie Piar earned second-team honors and fellow senior Kim Turgut was named honorable mention as announced Tuesday by the Big West office.
Piar, a senior from East Alton, Ill., earned All-Big West honors for the first time after leading the Matadors with a career-low 73.33 scoring average during the regular season. She led the Matadors with six top 10 finishes this season, while also adding three top 20 showings. At the recently completed Big West Women's Golf Championship, she had four birdies in a final round, even-par 72, to tie for 14th at 4-over 220. By finishing 14th, Piar posted her second-best finish at the Big West Championship in four appearances.
Turgut, a senior from Johannesburg, South Africa, also received All-Big West honors for the first time in her career. She capped the season with a 3-under 213 at the Big West Championship, the best score for a Matador golfer at a conference championship since Beth Allen finished at 7-under 209 in 2004. Turgut also earned a spot on the All-Tournament team based on her third-place finish, which is the best for CSUN since Brianna Steger finished second in 2019. Tugut finished the season with a career-best 74.03 scoring average, also posting five top 10 individual finishes.Â
The 2025-26 CSUN Women's Golf season produced multiple honorees for the first time since 2013-14, when Clariss Guce earned first-team accolades and Cesilie Hagen was named honorable mention. Piar and Turgut become the 27th and 28th players in program history to earn all-conference honors dating back to 1998.
"Gracie and Kim are my first class of student-athletes that I've had all four years," said head coach Michelle Winkler. "Although I didn't personally recruit them, I feel so lucky to have coached them during their time at CSUN. Both Gracie and Kim have blossomed into lovely, responsible, and impressive leaders. They have represented CSUN so impeccably well and are going to shine in this world.
"Their accomplishments during these four years have set a high bar for future Matadors, and they are so deserving of these nominations," she added. "Gracie and Kim - Â thank you for everything you have given to this program."

The Matadors concluded the 2025-26 season with three wins, six top five and three top 10 finishes this season. CSUN closed the season with a fourth-place finish at the recently completed Big West Championship in Las Vegas, its best finish since 2019 when CSUN finished as runners-up to Long Beach State. The Matadors' 8-under 280 in the final round of the Big West Championship was the low round of the day and is the Matadors' best-ever single round at the conference championship. CSUN's team score of 876 is also its best, besting the 294 the Matadors posted at the 2019 Big West Championship at Moorpark Country Club.
