CSUN Finishes 16th in Final Big West Tuneup

NAPA, Calif. - The CSUN Women's Golf team carded a final round 306 but was unable to move up from a 16th-place finish at the conclusion of the Chevron Silverado Showdown on Wednesday at the Silverado CC & Resort.
The Matadors, who have now completed the 2025-26 regular season, followed up rounds of 309 on Monday and 304 on Tuesday with an 18-over 306 in Wednesday's final round. At 919, CSUN finished 16th in the field. USC (827) led from start-to-finish to win the team competition by 22 shots over second-place Eastern Michigan (849). The Trojans' Jasmine Koo fired a final round 7-under 65 to claim individual medalist honors at 10-under 206.
Senior Kim Turgut was the top Matador finisher, tying for 48th at 10-over 226. Turgut, who began the day tied for 47th at 7-over 151 (76-75), had one birdie, 13 pars, and four bogeys in a final round 3-over 75.

- Following Turgut, senior Gracie Piar moved up into a tie for 57th at 12-over 228 after posting CSUN's low score in the final round. In posting a 1-over 73 on Wednesday, Piar was as low as 3-under after her sixth and final birdie of the day on her 15th hole. She would finish 4-over on her final three holes to close out a round of 73.
- Junior Nicole Tanoue finished the final round at 7-over 79 to tie for 75th at 17-over 233 (79-75-79). up into a tie for 61st at 10-over 154.
- Sophomore Ariya Soldwisch also finished the final round at 7-over 79 to tie for 79th at 18-over 234 (78-77-79).
- Freshman Lily McGowan finished the final round at 10-over 82 to place 87th at 25-over 241 (77-82-82).
