CSUN Opens 2026-27 Season at Air Force's Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - The CSUN Men's Golf is set to open the 2026-27 season on Friday (Sept. 18) at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational hosted by Air Force at the Eisenhower Golf Course in Colorado Springs, Colo.
A total of 18 teams will challenge the Eisenhower course, including Air Force, Colorado, Denver, Gonzaga, Northern Colorado, San Jose State, SIU Edwardsville, Southern Utah, UC Davis, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, Utah State, Utah Tech, Utah Valley, UTEP, Weber State, Wyoming, and the Matadors.
CSUN will have some newcomers in the lineup for the season opener as juniors Freddie Carcamo and Brecht Hulsman will make his Matador debut in Colorado. The pair will join returners Bryson Barnes, Tavin Boman, and Ethan Posthumus in the CSUN starting five. Seniors Dillon Jonke and Liam Judkiins, along with sophomore transfer Mason Ho will compete in the individual tournament.
Barnes returns as CSUN's top scorer from the 2025-26 season where he averaged 73.75 strokes per round. He also had a team-high two top 10 finishes during his sophomore season. Posthumus ranked third in 2025-26 with a 74.47 scoring average, followed by Boman (75.0), Judkins (75.11), and Jonke (77.73).
As a team, CSUN posted one top five finish, along with three top 10 showings in 2025-26.
