Second Round 288 Moves CSUN Into 14th at Gene Miranda Invitational

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Junior Freddie Carcamo continued to pace the CSUN Men's Golf team while Tavin Boman fired a 4-under 68 in the second round of Air Force's Gene Miranda Invitational on Sunday at Eisenhower Golf Course.
After carding a 2-under 70 In his CSUN debut on Saturday, Carcamo added a pair of birdies and 14 pars in a round of even-par 72 on Sunday. He heads into Monday's final round tied for 16th at 2-under 142. Boman had the Matadors' best round of the tournament on Sunday, finishing with five birdies, 12 pars and one bogey in a round of 4-under 68. He moved up into a tie for 39th at 2-over 146.
As a team, CSUN carded an an even-par 288 on Sunday after an opening round 10-over 298 on Saturday. The Matadors moved up from 15th into 14th at 10-over 586. Colorado took over sole possession of the team lead at 18-under 558, while Colorado's Brandon Knight and UC Davis' Trenton Stuart share the individual lead at 7-under 137.
