Arinda Bhanaraksa competed in all 10 tournaments and 26 rounds for the Matadors as a junior ... led CSUN with a 78.2 scoring average after taking a total of 2,033 strokes over 26 rounds ... tied for the Matadors' low round of the season with an even-par 72 at both the Sacramento State Invitational (Mar. 16-17) and the CSU Bakersfield Dual Match (Apr. 10) ... took individual medalist honors at the Bakersfield dual ... also posted top-10 finishes at Sacramento State (T-4th), the Fresno State Classic (T-6th) and the SCU Colby Invitational (T-7th) ... low total for 54 holes was 225 at Fresno State and low 36-hole total was 150, also at Fresno State ... finished tied for 34th at the Big West Championship (Apr. 19-21) after posting a 22-over 238 (76-81-81).
CSUN - 2013-14
Bhanaraksa competed in five tournaments and 14 rounds after joining the Matadors mid-season ... had one top-10 and a pair of top-20 finishes in her first season at CSUN ... posted a 77.1 scoring average after taking 1,079 strokes over 14 rounds ... finished a season-best second (tie) at the Matador Invitational (Feb. 10-11) at Wood Ranch G.C., her first tournament of the season ... fired a three-round four-over 220 (69-75-76) ... her first round 69 tied for CSUN's third-best round of the season ... also finished 11th at the Gold Rush (Apr. 7-8) and tied for 17th at the Fresno State Classic (Mar. 17-18).
CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY
Bhanaraksa played her freshman season and half of her sophomore season at Cal State Monterey Bay in Seaside, Calif. ... transferred to CSUN in January, 2014 ... posted one first-place finish in her first season playing for the Otters (2012-13) ... took first at the Chico State Invitational with rounds of 77-71 ... played in two tournaments in the fall of 2013 ... tied for first at the Western New Mexico Invitational with rounds of 74-73 and finished sixth at the Western Washington Invitational.
CLAREMONT HIGH SCHOOL
Bhanaraksa was a four-year letterwinner at Claremont High School in Claremont, Calif. … was named Sierra League MVP in 2010… posted a pair of top four finishes over her final two seasons for the Wolfpack … also played two seasons for the basketball team ... graduated in 2012.
PERSONAL
Parents are Gasova and Chinda Bhanaraksa ... favorite TV show is "Criminal Minds" ... says the best advice she's ever been given is "keep your head up and take it one shot at a time" ... says the biggest obstacle she's overcome was "a swing change in high school". Bhanaraksa is majoring in Psychology.
