Oughton appeared in 14 games and made nine starts in his first season with CSUN ... tied for the team lead in wins as he went 4-2 ... logged 50.2 innings and racked up 39 strikeouts to go with a 6.39 ERA ... two of his wins came in Big West play ... earned a victory in his first career start after pitching five innings and giving up three runs to Seattle U (2/14/26) ... went five innings and gave up four unearned runs en route to a win vs. Western Michigan (2/28/26) ... started the Big West opener at UC Irvine, striking out seven and allowing three runs over 5.1 innings (3/6/26) ... struck out a season-high eight batters and went seven innings, giving up two runs at Cal State Fullerton (3/21/26) ... picked up a win in relief after working 3.2 innings and allowing a run vs. UC Davis (4/18/26).Â

Oughton competed for Yavapai College from 2023-25 ... tossed a perfect game and a no-hitter in his sophomore season with Yavapai in 2025 ... earned a pair of All-ACCAC Second Team honors in his career with Yavapai ... went 4-3 with a 52 strikeouts and a 5.01 ERA over 55.2 innings as a sophomore in 2025 ... attended Mountain Ridge High School and graduated in 2023 ... won a state title while attending Liberty High School.Â

Son of Shannon Oughton and Ron Oughton ... he has three siblings: Thomas, Matt and Serena ... his father played basketball Colorado Mesa while his brother played football at Cal and his aunt Torey played basketball at Butler ... favorites include the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks, Phoenix Suns, Bryan Woo, Jason Bateman, Sydney Sweeney, the tv show "Suits," "Horrible Bosses," Treaty Oak Revival and Morgan Wallen ... favorite food is chicken fried rice ... chose CSUN because of the great relationships established with the coaching staff ... lists throwing a no-hitter at the college his uncle coached (Eastern Arizona College) and on his dad's birthday as his favorite sports moment ... says the best thing about being an athlete are having fun with his teammates while striving for the same ultimate goal along with the relationships established in baseball ... lists his mom as his hero.
