2014 (JUNIOR): Ran four times...recorded career bests in the 6k (19:34.20) at the Oct. 18 Highlander Invitational and in the 8k (26:42.90) during the Sept. 27 Stanford Invitational.
2013 (SOPHOMORE): Entered six races...season best 6k came time occurred during the Highlander Invitational Oct. 19 (20:17.30)...charted season best 8k performance during the Sacramento State NCAA Inter-Regional Jamboree Oct. 4 (27:11.20)...placed 59th at the Big West Championships Nov. 2 (29:27.60).
2012 (FRESHMAN): Competed in three events...finished seventh at the Sept. 29 UNLV Invitational (27:20.50)...was 55 at the CSUN Collegiate Invitational Oct. 13 (30:40.20)...placed 54th at the Oct. 27 Big West Championships (27:38.30).
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Silverado High School...earned first team All-Desert Sky League for the Hawks cross country team...his team won Div. III in 2007 and 2008 and won track & field titles in 2009 and 2010...graduated with a 3.0 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Son of Daniella and Martin Santillan...major is criminology...has four sisters, Sarah, Samantha, Gabriella and Lorena ... favorites include the Denver Broncos, pizza and the movie "300"...lists his grandma as his greatest hero.
