Paul Rauch joined the CSUN Sports Medicine staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in February 2021. Rauch, who works primarily with the Matador men's and women's track and field and cross country teams, was promoted to Associate Athletic Trainer in July 2021.
Prior to CSUN, Rauch was a Resident Athletic Trainer at Boston College from 2019-2021, where he worked with the football team and men's and women's swimming and diving programs.
Rauch spent one year working with the National Football League's Chicago Bears in 2018-19 where he had an integral role assisting in their day to day operations of practice and rehabilitation. That season the Bears went on to win the NFC North. He also was a Summer Training Camp and Pre-season intern for the Bears in 2015.
Rauch earned his master's degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Utah in 2018, where he served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer. As a GA, Rauch worked with the Utes' Football team from 2016-2018.
Rauch earned his bachelor of science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Florida in 2016. While at Florida, he gained hands-on experience with various teams such as football, softball, volleyball, and cheer.
Rauch has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association since 2014 and has been a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer since May 2016. He earned his Corrective Exercise Specialist certification (CES) in November 2017. In addition, he holds a Functional Movement Screening Certification (FMS) and is a Graston Technique Specialist (GTS).
A native South Floridian, Rauch resides in Los Angeles with his dog Oreo.
