Torres participated in all six races on the season ... led the Matadors in four difference races ... set a new 8k PR of 24:25.2, good enough for the second-best time in school history, while he also led all Matador runners at the UCR Cross Country Invitational to finish with 59th-place points (68th overall) ... ran at 25:31.6 on the 8k course at the Big West Championship (11/2/24) for 56th-place points (64th overall) ... set a new PR in the 6k as he led the Matadors with a time of 18:32.4 for 11th-place points (17th overall) at the Waves Invite (8/30/24) ... was sixth overall at The Master's Invitational (10/5/24) with an 8k time of 24:32.5 ... also led Matador runners at the Highlander Invitational (10/19/24) where he captured 12th-place points (16th overall) with his time of 24:37.6 ... finished with a 10k time of 32:55.1 at the NCAA West Regional (11/15/24) to finish 163rd overall ... named to the Big West Fall All-Academic Team.

Torres competed in all five races on the season ... set a new PR in the 6k with a time of 19:09.7 at the Big West Preview to finish with 39th-place points and 51st overall (9/1/23) ... ran a season-best 8k time of 25:11.8 to finish with 91st-place points and 105th overall at the UCR Invitational (9/16/23) ... finished with a time of 25:28.6 at the Big West Championships to finish with 42nd-place points and 43rd overall ... led CSUN with a 10k time of 31:45.5 at the NCAA West Regional to finish at 126th-place points (127th overall) ... earned Big West All-Academic Team honors.

Broke the CSUN 10k Division I school record as he ran 30:57.7 at the NCAA West Regional ... the previous record was 31:19.5 which Angel Alcantar recorded during the 2014 NCAA West Regional ... was awarded 118th place points, finishing 121st overall at the West Regionals ... the top finishing Matador at the Big West Championship as he ran 24:54.4 to earn 28th-place points and a 29th-place overall finish ... his 8k time at the Santa Clara Broncos Invitational (24:30.4) was the second fastest by a CSUN runner at the Division I level ... posted season-best 13th-place showing at the Pepperdine Waves Invitational.

Son of Michael and Maria Torres … favorites include the Los Angeles Clippers, Muhammad Ali, Steve Carrell, Emma Watson, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, the entire Harry Potter Series, Quesadillas, The Beatles, Kanye West, and YouTube.com … chose CSUN because he liked that it was close to home, had mechanical engineering, and training outlook … says greatest sports moment is yet to come, but now it is probably running under minutes for three miles in cross country … says the best thing about being an athlete is being with a team and motivating others to be their best and to work harder … says the toughest thing about being an athlete is time management with school and accepting losses when you are expected to show up … says the best athletes he has competed against are Lex and Leo Young … the most famous person he has met is Usain Bolt … the best advice he has been given is acknowledge your faults … his advice to young people is to work consistently now so you are better later and don't set limits on yourself … says his greatest hero is his Nana because she has been through many struggles and is always happy for my siblings, cousins, and family friends.
