CSUNÂ - 2022-23Â (Senior)
Brandon McDonough competed in 11 of 12 tournaments and 32 of CSUN's 35 rounds in 2022-23 ... finished the season with a career-best 73.47 scoring average which ranked fifth on the Matadors ... took a total of 2,351 strokes over a career-high 32 rounds ... had three top-20 finishes, highlighted by a 12th place finish at the Big West Championship (Apr. 30-May 2) ... fired a career-low round of 66 in the opening round of the conference championship before finishing the tournament at 1-over 217 ... tied for 14th at the Bill Cullum Invitational (Oct. 10-11) at even-par 216 ... also finished at even-par 216 at the PING Cougar Classic (Apr. 21-22) ... heads into his final season with a career scoring average of 74.65 with 7,017 strokes over 94 career rounds ... was one of five Matadors to earn GCAA All-America Scholar honors.
CSUNÂ - 2021-22Â (Junior)
McDonough competed in 10 tournaments and 29 of CSUN's 33 rounds during the 2021-22 season ... finished the season with a 75.28 scoring average after taking 2,183 strokes over 29 rounds ... low round of the season (-1, 71) came in the final round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational (Sept. 10-12) and low tournament score (+5, 218) came at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational (Oct. 21-23) ... heads into his senior season with a career scoring average of 75.23 with 4,666 strokes over 62 career rounds ...  was one of four Matadors named to the Big West All-Academic Team.
CSUNÂ - 2020-21Â (Sophomore)
McDonough competed in all seven tournaments and 21 rounds for the Matadors during the abbreviated spring season ... finished second on the team with a career-best scoring average of 74.3 after taking 1,561 strokes over 21 rounds ... recorded his first two collegiate top-10 finishes, placing fourth at the St. Mark Invitational (Apr. 19-20) and eighth at the GCU Invitational (Mar. 15-16) ... carded rounds of 69-72-72 to finish in a tie for fourth at (E) 213 at the St. Mark Invitational ... posted rounds of 73-71-70 at the GCU Invitational to tie for eighth at (+1) 214 ... matched his career low round with an opening-round 69 at St. Mark ... heads into his third season with a career scoring average of 75.2 with 2,483 strokes over 33 career rounds.Â
CSUNÂ - 2019-20Â (Freshman)
McDonough competed in four tournaments and 12 rounds is his first season at CSUN ... posted a scoring average of 76.8 after taking 922 strokes over 12 rounds ... low 54-hole tournament score of the season came in his collegiate debut as he finished 41st at the season-opening Nick Watney Invitational (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) with a three-over 216 (73-69-74) ... his three-under 69 was his season-low round and tied for the sixth-lowest round of the season for a CSUN player ... posted identical tournament scores of 231 at both the Bill Cullum Invitational (Oct. 14-15) and The Amer Ari Invitational (Feb. 6-8).
SANTA MONICA HIGH SCHOOL
McDonough lettered in golf at Santa Monica High School in Santa Monica, Calif. ... was the 2018 Ocean League Player of the Year and won the league individual championship for the Vikings ... posted a 34.8 scoring average and played in the De Bell Invitational in 2017 and 2018 ... graduated in 2018.
