PERSONAL
Son of Trinedad Sandoval and Rosa Ávila … a Psychology major ... favorites include Manchester United, Los Angeles Lakers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Troy Polamalu, Robin Williams, Emma Stone, The Office, Hawaii Five-O, The Dark Knight Rises, Pasta, Gorillaz, Nipsy Hussle, and Amazon.com … chose CSUN because the foundation of the program is something I admired, the culture of winning is something that drew my attention and learning from a great coaching staff ... says greatest sports moment so far is going on trial with the Portland Timbers Academy during his freshman year of high school ... says the best thing about being an athlete is the competition with teammates and players around the world … says the toughest thing about being an athlete are the mental battles you face on and off the field, balancing multiple things in your life and working the hardest to be the best … says the best athlete he has played against is Marco Ceja ... the most famous person he has met is Marshawn Lynch … the person in history he would like to meet is Socrates … the two people he would like to have dinner with are Jordan B Peterson and Kobe Bryant … says the best advice he has been given is life is a marathon, not a sprint … his advice to young people is to enjoy the little moments of life as a kid, have fun with those who love you … says his greatest hero is his older brother because of the way he molded him at a young age to always perform and work hard, he made him compete and reach another level growing up, both never relied on anyone else to get better at anything, he’s someone that I’m always learning from.
