Kris Guerra will begin his fifth season on the CSUN men’s soccer coaching staff in the Fall of 2022. The volunteer coach, Guerra will work with the Matadors’ goalkeepers.
Guerra came to Northridge from Compton College where he was the Tartans’ goalkeepers’ coach during the 2017 season. Compton College goalies posted 78 saves and a 1.13 goals against average as the team went 14-6-3 during the season.
Since June 2016, Guerra has served as the Director of Goalkeeping for all levels of Futbol Club Valencia of Santa Clarita, Calif. Since Nov. 2015, Guerra has also served as the Director of Goalkeeping for the Boa Jrs Soccer Club of Sherman Oaks, Calif.
Guerra played for the Cosmos Academy West club which participated in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy from 2011-13. The 2012 Goalkeeper of the Year, Guerra traveled to Manchester, England to play in the Manchester Cup World Finals. Guerra played for FC Golden State Force of the Premier Development League from 2016-17.
