CSUN - 2023 (Freshman)
Solorzano had a breakout first season with CSUN, earning Big West Freshman of the Year and All-Freshman Team accolades ... competed in all 18 matches, making 14 starts over the final 15 games ... wrapped up the season tied for seventh in the Big West in goals (5) while he was 10th in points (13) ... ranked second on the team in goals, points, assists (3), shots (25) and shots on goal (16) ... registered a goal with three assists in Big West play ... scored a game-tying goal in the 90th minute at Ohio State (his only minute of action) via a free kick to ensure a 1-1 draw (8/24/23) ... hit the back of the net in a road win over ranked San Diego (9/1/23) ... played every minute at UCLA and hit a game-tying goal off a penalty kick in the 88th minute in another draw (9/4/23) ... scored in a third-straight match in a win over UNLV (9/7/23) ... netted a goal and dished out an assist vs. Cal State Fullerton (9/27/23) ... registered an assist on a Jamar Ricketts game-winning goal vs. UC San Diego (10/18/23) ... collected his final helper vs. UC Santa Barbara (10/21/23).

PERSONAL: Son of Jorge and Erika Solorzano … favorites include Real Madrid, Maradona, Adam Sandler, Scarlett Johansson, Stranger Things, The Longest Yard, Pasta, Queen, and Bad Bunny … chose CSUN because he always wanted to play for a Division I soccer team and the programs provided by the school all seem to be interesting … says greatest sports moment so far is scoring a third goal in a CIF Championship Final and seeing all my hometown people going crazy in the stands … says the best thing about being an athlete is being able to show your athleticism and talent … says the toughest thing about being an athlete is having doubt in your abilities … the best advice he has been given is everything in life is earned not given … his advice to young people is never give up on your dreams because a day could change your whole life … says his greatest hero is his father because he shows me why the beautiful game is the post precious thing in this world.
