OUTDOOR: Simpson competed at four meets on the season ... ran as a member of the 4x400m relay team and posted a time of 3:56.27 to take ninth at the Big West Championships (5/11/24) ... posted a season best in the 800m with a time of 2:18.01 to take eighth place at the Vince O'Boyle Classic (3/29/24) ... earned Big West All-Academic Team honors.
INDOOR: Competed at four meets ... helped CSUN post the second-best time in school history in the distance medley relay and take fifth with a time of 11:54.05 at the MPSF Championships (2/25/24) ... set a PR in the 800m and finished 17th with a time of 2:17.48 at the MPSF Championships (2/26/24) ... established a PR in the mile run with a time of 5:18.88, finishing ninth at the Howie Ryan Inviational (2/9/24) ... was fifth with a time of 1:39.69 in the 600m at the Friday Night Ax 'Em Open (1/12/24) ... earned MPSF All-Academic Team honors.
CSUN - 2023 (Freshman)
OUTDOOR: Competed in two events ... ran the 800m at the UCSB Invitational, running 2:20.90, to finish 11th ... placed sixth in the 1500m at the West Coast Relays in a time of 4:54.96.

Daughter of Robert and Pamela Simpson … favorites include Christiano Rinaldo, Ryan Reynolds, Zendaya, Parks and Recreation, Sing, Grilled Cheese with Mustard, Taylor Swift, and Milesplit … chose CSUN because of the academic and sports opportunities … says greatest sports moment so far is dropping five seconds of her PR at the state qualifier during her sophomore year to place third and qualify for the state meet … says the best thing about being an athlete is getting clout at school … says the toughest thing about being an athlete is balancing school, sports, a social life, and remembering to take care of yourself … says the best athlete she has competed against is Katelyn Tuohy … the person in history she would like to meet is Taylor Swift … if she could have dinner with two people it would be Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift … is a quadruplet (brothers Tyler, Derek, and sister Amanda) … the best advice she has been given is don’t be afraid to try new things and talk to people … her advice to young people is to work hard and everything will fall into place … says her greatest hero is her trainer because he has given her so much confidence in herself and treats me like his daughter.
