2013 (R-SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 21 games and made six starts...batted .233 for the season with seven hits...added four runs, a double, two home runs and seven RBIs...earned Big West Player of the Week after coming up big in series sweep of UC Riverside...in the series finale, she hit two home runs and drove in six RBIs...became the 27th player in school history to hit two HRs in a game and six RBI was one short of tying school record...added a two-hit performance in the first win over the Highlanders...finished the season on a four-game hitting streak...had a .980 fielding percentage in 50 chances.
2012 (R-FRESHMAN): Appeared in 18 games and made two starts...had her only hit of the year against Arizona.
2011 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Kennedy High School...played four seasons of softball for the Cougars...member of the 2010 City Champions and also helped team earn three-straight league titles...earned All-League honors following last three seasons.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Miguel Martinez...has one brother, Michael, and three sisters: Christina, Selena and Julianne...middle name is Maxine...favorites include the Los Angeles Dodgers, Will Ferrell and Bob Dylan...would like to see softball brought back into the Olympic Games...would have liked to meet Janice Joplin...cannot imagine going a week without music...lists her father as her greatest hero.
