Garcia appeared in 12 games and made nine starts ... batted .217 with five hits and three runs scored ... committed just one error in 67 chances for a .985 fielding percentage ... collected a season-high two hits in a win over Pacific (2/17/24) ... named an NFCA Scholar-Athlete.
CSUN - 2023 (Sophomore)
Second on the team in putouts with 128 ... committed one error in 133 chances (128 PO-4 A)...appeared in 30 games primarily at first base, starting 23 times ... posted nine hits in 46 at-bats ... scored nine times and drove in three runs ... walked six times on the way to a .288 on-base percentage ... selected as a Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete ... chosen Academic All-Conference.

Daughter of Jose Garcia and the late Liliana Casillas … a History major ... sister, Sami, was a member of the CSUN softball program …favorites include the Los Angeles Dodgers, Javier Baez, Matthew Gray Gubler, McKenna Grace, Criminal Minds, Luca, Pizza, Surfaces, and Wilbur … chose CSUN because every time she would go to camps or for visits it felt like home … says every time that she was on the field, every player always seemed like they wanted to be there and as a result she immediately knew she wanted to continue my career at CSUN … says the best thing about being an athlete is how you surround yourself with people that understand what you do in your life and how you make so many lifelong friendships … says the worst thing about begin an athlete is being surrounded by the constant stigma around mental health within athletics … the most famous person she has met is Bubba Nickels … the person in history she would like to meet is Ruth Bader Ginsberg ... the best advice she has been given is give things the opportunity to get better and if things get too much, just flip your phone over, emblematic of how much the butterfly effect has an effect on your life ... her advice to young people is become the accepting, kind person you wish to encounter in life … her greatest hero was her mom … she says she was one of the kindest people, down to earth, one of the strongest people she ever met in my life … says she was always positive and always encouraging me to be herself and do what makes her happy.
