PERSONAL
Daughter of Patrick and Jessica Carranco … a communication studies major ... favorites include the Dallas Cowboys, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Golden State Warriors, Montana Fouts, Adam Sandler, Megan Fox, The Fosters, All-American, The Sandlot, Pasta, SZA, and Kanye West … chose CSUN because of the amazing family environment that she felt from the first moment speaking to the coaches. It was a no brainer for me to be a part of such an amazing family-oriented program … there was no doubt in her mind that she picked a better fit for her … going to the next level after high school, she knew she wanted to attend a highly competitive university, and what better school than CSUN, in one of the most competitive softball conferences in the Big West … she fell in love with the campus the moment she stepped foot on it and couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else … says her greatest sports moment so far is playing In the Central Section Valley Championship game … says it was a rush and made her feel adrenaline that she has never felt before competing for something we all had worked so hard for, a Valley Title … says the best thing about being an athlete are the friendships and bonds that are created on the field, it is a feeling that is something that cannot be replicated, it also allows you to grow as a person in ways you never thought imaginable … says the toughest thing about being an athlete are the early mornings, sometimes it is hard to find that motivation but it is that motivation that keeps you going with the sport you love … says her greatest hero is her grandpa who was always a shoulder to cry on and such a positive figure in my life, she grew up looking up to him and how he was admired by so many.
