2012 (SOPHOMORE): Led the Matadors in hitting...batted .259 for the season and also led the Matadors with 38 hits...recorded a career-high 17 runs scored, tying for the team lead...also tied for the team lead with five doubles...finished with 11 RBIs on the season, tying for second on the squad...hit a career-high three home runs, finishing second on the team...drew 10 walks and was hit by eight pitches, resulting in a .337 on-base percentage... against league opponents, batted .269 with a team-leading 18 hits...scored six runs with three doubles, two home runs and nine RBIs in the Big West season...had a team-best 11-game hitting streak during the course of the season and tied for the team lead with eight multi-hit games...batted .625 with a home run, a double and four RBIs in the Matadors’ series victory at Pacific...tied a career-high with three hits in CSUN’s win over Utah State and scored a career-high two runs on three different occasions...posted a .968 fielding percentage for the season, playing at first base, catcher and in the outfield.
2011 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 53 games, making 52 starts...made 38 starts at first base, 13 at designated player and once at catcher...finished the year with 25 RBIs, .311 batting average, 46 hits, five runs, nine doubles and a home run...batted .338 with six doubles and 16 RBIs during 21 Big West Conference games...had nine multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games during the season...had four different three-hit games during the season...drove in a career-high three RBIs on two separate occasions...hit her first career home run in the top of the seventh, a three-run shot, to help lead the Matadors to a 3-0 victory over Cal State Fullerton on May 13...posted a .980 fielding percentage in 303 defensive chances.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Esperanza High School...a three-year letter winner for the Aztecs...served as a team captain during senior season...member of the 2008 Sunset League Champions...named team’s defensive player of the year following 2008 season.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Denise and Robert Sale... majoring in business...has a brother, Andrew, and a sister, Devin...favorites include the Anaheim Ducks and winger Teemu Selanne, “The Big Bang Theory”, Italian Food and Drew Barrymore...is a big fan of classic literature and would choose to meet Jane Austen if she could meet one person in history...says the best advice she has even been given is to “leave it all on the field.”
