Rachel Gam is playing her first season of beach volleyball for the Matadors in 2016 after graduating from UC San Diego.
UC SAN DIEGO
Gam played four seasons (2011-14) of indoor volleyball at UC San Diego in La Jolla, Calif. ... played opposite for coach Ricci Luyties.
OAK PARK HIGH SCHOOL
Gam lettered all four years in volleyball at Oak Park High School in Oak Park, Calif. ... was named All-CIF and All-Ventura County as a senior in 2010 ... in addition, was named team MVP ... received first team Tri-Valley League honors in 2009 and 2010 ... was named Oak Park's top offensive player in 2007, 2008 and 2009 ... graduated in 2014 with a 4.0 grade point average.
