Named first team All-Conference honors for the fourth consecutive year…was third in the league in scoring (16.4) and ninth in field goal shooting (46.4 and is now only one of five players in Big West history be named first team All-Conference four times.
2017-18 (JUNIOR): Named Big West Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Year, becoming the fifth player in BWC history to repeat as Big West Player of the Year and is the first since Brittany Crain of UC Riverside (2015, 2016)...became the fifth Big West player to lead the league in rebounds (12.1) and blocks (2.7) in the same season and only the second in to do it in consecutive seasons...also led the conference in double-doubles (21), and free throws made (158)...third in the league in scoring (18.6), third in free throw shooting (76.7), and sixth in field goal shooting (51.1)...ranked seventh in the NCAA in rebounds (400), seventh in rebounds per game and 15th in blocks per game and total blocks.
Recorded 20 rebounds on three separate occasions…named Big West Conference Defensive Player of the Year, and first team All-Conference...became the all-time leading rebounder at CSUN Feb. 3, 2018 when she recorded her second 20-rebound performance of 2017-18 against UC Davis...hauled in 20 rebounds against UC Irvine Mar. 1 to surpass the 1,000-career rebound plateau...has grabbed 1,061 rebounds, breaking the old CSUN mark of 923 which was set by Denise Sutton (1982-87) and is seventh on the all-time rebound list in the Big West.
The 6-4 center is already the CSUN record holder for career rebounds per game (11.4). If she maintains the 11.4 career rebound average (which is second among active Division I players), she has a chance to become the Big West’s all-time leading rebounder. The league record is 1,441 which was set by Hawai’i’s Judy Mosley (1986-90).
The third leading scorer in school history with 1,582 points, Fluker is only 1-of-11 active Division I players with at least 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. She is only one of 14 active Division I players with at least 1000 career rebounds.
93 games into her CSUN career, Fluker is already among the school leaders in several categories...She is second in career scoring average (17.0), second in career blocks (195), fourth in career field goal shooting (632-1224, .516), fourth in career field goals, fourth in career free throw attempts (473), fifth in career free throws (315) and sixth in field goal attempts.
The Pasadena native was named Big West Player of the Week five times in 2017-18 and has been selected player of the week 12 times in her career…she moved into a tie with former UC Santa Barbara great Erin Buescher for the second most in league history. Anita Maxwell of New Mexico State is the record holder with 13.
Fluker recorded the fifth triple-double in CSUN history and 13th in Division I this season on Dec. 30, 2017 against Seattle U. She scored 28 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, and blocked a school-record 13 shots against the Redhawks. Fluker broke the previous school record of 11 blocks which was set by Camille Mahlknecht against Cal State Fullerton On Feb. 8, 2014.
Fluker’s 13 blocks were the most by a Division I player in a game in 2017-18 and reset the Big West Conference record for most blocks in a game. Simone Srubek held the previous mark of 12 which she accomplished on two occasions, most recently on Mar. 2, 1990 against UNLV...She made a career high 14 free throws against the Redhawks, the 26th highest total by a Division I player in a game this season.
Began preparation for junior season by spending the summer at the 2017 USA Basketball Women's U23 National Team Training Camp…was the only player from a “Mid-Major” school in the camp.
2016-17 (SOPHOMORE): Earned 2017 Big West Conference Player of the Year honors after becoming the first player in more than 25 years to lead the league in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots...won Big West Player of the Week for three-straight weeks during the conference season as well as twice during non-conference competition...set new school records for points (577), rebounds (383) and field goals (242) in a season and averaged 18.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game to go with 75 blocks and 16 steals...was the second Matador in school history to win the conference's top award...earned second-straight first team All-Big West honors...recorded 21 double-doubles...poured in a career-high 39 points and a season-high 10 free throws in Big West Tournament win against Hawai’i...scored 33 points and tied career high with 15 field goals in win at Hawai’i, CSUN’s first win ever in Honolulu...recorded a career-high 21 rebounds in contest at Long Beach State...produced 18 points, seven rebounds, a career-high seven assists and seven blocked shots in win at Cal State Fullerton...nabbed 20 rebounds at UC Santa Barbara to go with 17 points...scored 18 points and 18 rebounds in OT win at UC Riverside...grabbed 11 rebounds to go with 22 points in CSUN’s home win over Long Beach State...posted 20 points and 14 rebounds in home win over Hawai’i...grabbed 19 rebounds to go with 20 points in win at Seattle University...posted 32 points and 12 field goals to go with 19 rebounds in win at Weber State...posted 23 points and 14 rebounds in four-point loss to No. 19 Michigan State on Nov. 26.
2015-16 (FRESHMAN): Started 16-of-28 games played…named Big West Freshman of the Year and to first team All-Big West, the first rookie to earn the honors since 2002…named National Mid-Major Freshman of the Year by CollegeSportsMadness.com…averaged 13.8 points and 9.9 rebounds per game while shooting 49.7 percent from the field … increased those averages to 18.5 points and 12.4 rebounds per game while shooting 55.2 percent from the field in 16 Big West Conference games…her 278 rebounds stands at third in program history for a single season and her 9.9 rebound per game average finished fifth…posted two games of 15 field goals tied for the second-most in the program's Division I history and her two 19-rebounds games tied for third…only Big West player to hit the 30-point, 10-rebound plateau in a game, doing so in four different contests…tied for the league lead in doubles-doubles, finishing the year with 12…earned back-to-back Big West Player of the Week awards in mid-January and closed out the regular season with a season-high 34 points in a contest against Long Beach State…during the league campaign, she had a streak of eight-straight double-doubles…pulled down a season and league-high 19 rebounds in a pair of games and set a new school record with 15 offensive rebounds in a Feb. 18 contest at UC Santa Barbara…had a career-high 15 field goals in contests with UC Irvine and Long Beach State…posted a career-high five blocked shots in a home win over Cal State Fullerton…finished year with 16 double-figure games in points and 13 games with 10 or more rebounds.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2015 graduate of Maranatha High School…earned multiple Pasadena Star News honors, including All-Area, Player of the Year, MVP and first team honors…helped lead her team to a league title as a junior…named her high school's Female Athlete of the Year…earned back-to-back Defensive MVP honors.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Jodi Graves… majoring in child and adolescent development…has two sisters, Destyne and Jordn, and one brother, Collin…favorites include the Boston Celtics, Samuel L. Jackson, Sandra Bullock and "Mulan"…her advice to young people is "make sure to strive for the best version of you"…says no one knows how much professional basketball she actually watches…says her family always makes her smile.
