PRIOR TO CSUN: A grad transfer from Pepperdine where she was second on the team in assists (48), tied for second in steals (27), and third in scoring (7.7) in 2021-22…shooting 45.5% (70-of-154) from the field, the 5-7 guard was third on the club in the category…as a junior in 2020-21, Givens finished 10th in the WCC and led the Waves in steals with 39…began her collegiate career at Los Angeles Trade Technical College, where as a freshman in 2018-19, she was selected SCC Player of the Year and to the CCCWBCA South Region All-State first team…in leading the team to a conference title and an Elite Eight State Tournament appearance, Givens averaged 27.7 points per game for LATTC, including a season-high 41 against Mt. SAC… also averaged 6.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2018 graduate of Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, Calif…averaged 12.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.9 steals, 1.7 assists and 0.7 blocks as a senior…Earned CIF All-Southern Section second team, Daily Breeze All-Area first team and first team All-Del Rey League honors…led team in winning its first Division I state championship in 2018…competed for the J Serra track team as a sprinter as a junior…maintained Honor Roll/Principal’s Honor Roll status throughout her high school career…CLUB EXPERIENCE: played for the Got Game Basketball Club under the direction of Sherrise and Christine Smith.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jeffery Givens and Shaneal Givens…graduated from Pepperdine with a B.A. degree in Psychology…received a Real Estate Certificate from CSUN in the Spring of 2023…favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Sparks, Idris Elba, Tom Holland, Zazie Beetz, Girlfriends, Love & Basketball, her grandma’s Mac & Cheese, Destiny’s Child, J. Cole, and Youtube.com…chose CSUN because she would get to stay close to home while playing at the highest level, CSUN has a good community and all the keys to success, she feels that is a good place to thrive in sunny California…says greatest sports moment so far is winning the state championship as a senior in high school…says the best thing about an athlete is having great teammates…says the toughest thing about being an athlete is keeping your head up when things aren't working in your favor…the person in history she would like to meet is Kobe Bryant…would like to switch places for one day with Sara Shahidi…her advice to young people is to step out of your comfort zone…says her greatest hero is her mom.
