Mario Lozano joins the CSUN women's basketball program as the squad's athletic trainer for the 2016-17 season.
Lozano comes to CSUN after getting his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from the University of the Pacific in 2015. With the Tigers, he worked extensively with the men's and women's water polo, swimming and softball teams. He also gained experience with the Pacific Beach Volleyball team and also assisted at Delta Community College and local high school football games.
Before his time at Pacific, Lozano attended Modesto Junior College and worked as an athletic trainer with multiple programs including, but not limited to, football, wrestling, basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, softball and baseball.
Away from NCAA Athletics, Lozano has also been an Athletic Training Intern for the Oakland Raiders. He started in 2014, has worked the past three training camps and preseason and was an on-call ATC for the Raiders during the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
Lozano lives in Los Angeles County.
