NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---CSUN head women's basketball coach Angie Ned has announced the Matadors' 2025-26 schedule, featuring 15 games in Northridge at Premier America Credit Union Arena. CSUN is scheduled to meet nine teams that had winning records in 2024-25, including three NCAA tournament teams.Â
"We're excited about the season! Our focus is to continue to take steps forward and compete each day,"Â Ned said.
The Matadors kick off the campaign with a home game against Bethesda on Nov. 4. They will remain at home during the season-opening week, taking on the University of San Diego Nov. 8. CSUN will then embark on a three game road trip that includes: Nov. 12 against San Diego State (NCAA Tournament participant in 2025), Nov. 19 against California Baptist, and November 23 against Idaho. The Matadors will look to avenge their last showdown with the Vandals, when Idaho defeated CSUN in December 2024.Â
CSUN will then play one last game in November as the Matadors take on Life Pacific on the 26th. Big West play then gets underway as the Matadors take on the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners on December 4th at 6:00 p.m. CSUN will then host its first Big West contest with a showdown against UC Irvine on December 6th at 2:00 p.m.Â
The Matadors will remain at home, returning to non-conference action against San Jose State on December 13th at 2:00 p.m. The Matadors would like to remedy a defeat against the Spartans on the road in 2024. CSUN will stay on its home court as the Matadors will face-off against Northern Arizona on December 18. The Matadors have won their last four matchups against the Lumberjacks, dating back to 2003.
CSUN will then play its last non-conference game when it takes on Pepperdine, December 20th.Â
The Matadors will look to defeat the Waves on their home court, something that Pepperdine did to CSUN a year prior.
In the next game, the Matadors will ring in the new year with a return to Big West play. CSUN will do battle against UC Davis on January 1, with tip-off slated for 6:00 p.m. The Matador women will then embark on a two-game road trip. The first game is at UC Santa Barbara on January 3rd, while the following game is at Cal Poly on January 8th.Â
Three out of the next four games will be played at the friendly confines of Premier America Credit Union Arena. CSUN takes on Cal State Fullerton on Jan. 10, and UC San Diego on Jan. 15. After traveling to Long Beach State for a pit-stop at the Pyramid on Jan. 17, CSUN will face off against reigning Big West regular champion Hawai'i on Jan. 24 at home.Â
Five days later on January 29, the Matadors will travel to UC Davis for a showdown with the Aggies. While afterwards they had down to UC San Diego for a game with the Tritons on Jan 31. The Tritons were in the NCAA tournament last year after being awarded an automatic berth for winning the Big West Tournament in 2025.
CSUN then continues facing its slew of Big West opponents. On February 5th, CSUN will take on Cal Poly again, this time at home. The Matadors then hit the road again as CSUN takes on UC Riverside on February 7 and Hawaii in Manoa on Valentine's Day. Â
Up next, the Matadors will have their penultimate homestand. Two games, the first being UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 19, followed by Long Beach State on Feb. 21. After hosting two, CSUN plays its second to last away game at UC Irvine on Feb. 26, before returning home for UC Riverside (Feb. 28) and Cal State Bakersfield (March 5).Â
The last regular season game of the campaign will be March 7 at Cal State Fullerton.Â
The 2026 Big West Championship presented by Credit Union 1Â will take place from March 11-14Â in Henderson, Nev.
