Casey Hinger appeared in all nine matches in CSUN's first season of sand volleyball ... had the most wins of any CSUN player as she finished 2-2 with Natalie Allen and 2-4 with Marissa Boyd ...paired with Boyd for the Matadors' lone win against Grand Canyon (Mar. 14) winning 21-19, 20-22, 13-9 ... also won with Boyd over CSU Bakersfield (Mar. 15) ... paired with Allen, the duo defeated Oregon 21-15, 21-12 in the season finale (Mar.27).
VALENCIA HIGH SCHOOL
Competed in volleyball, soccer and track at Valencia High School in Placentia, Calif. ... played the middle blocker, outside hitter,opposite and setter positions ... was named Empire League MVP as well as first team All-CIF ... earned first team All-Empire League honors as a junior and senior ... was also named MVP and Scholar-Athlete ... was a goalie for the Tigers soccer team and high jumper and sprinter for the track & field squad ... won the league high jump title in 2009 ... graduated in 2011 with a 3.95 grade point average.
