Mikaela Maughan played in all 34 beach matches for the Matadors in 2022, finishing with 16 individual wins which ranked fourth on the team ... won 11 times playing with Darbi Honeycutt (11-12) and five times with Seyvion Waggoner (5-6) ... with Honeycutt, finished 1-4 at No. 1, 0-1 at No. 2 and 10-7 at No. 3 to give the duo a program record 43 wins since the 2019 season ... finished 0-2 with Waggoner at No. 1 and 5-4 at No. 2 ... heads into her graduate season (2023) with 49 wins which ranks second in program history to Kailey Klein's 52 ... has a career record of 49-43 for a career winning percentage of .533 which ranks eighth in program history ... finished a team-best 2-1 at the Big West Championships in San Luis Obispo (Apr. 29) with wins over Sacramento State and UC Davis ... won in straight sets with Waggoner at No. 2 against Nebraska (Mar. 17) ... was one of eight Matador student-athletes named to the 2022 Big West All-Academic Team.
CSUN - 2021 (Junior)
Maughan played in all 26 matches for the Matadors, posting a team-high 13 victories playing alongside fellow junior Darbi Honeycutt ... the duo finished 10-8 in dual matches and 3-5 in tournament matches to finish 13-13 which ranks ninth in program for wins in a single season ... earned honorable mention All-Big West accolades ... heads into her senior season (2022) with 33 wins which is tied for fourth in program history ... currently ranks fifth in CSUN beach history with a .569 career winning percentage (33-25) ... along with Honeycutt, owns the program record for career pair wins with 32 ... the pair played a majority of matches at the No. 3 spot, finishing 13-12 while also playing once at No. 2, falling to No. 5 Cal Poly (Mar. 27) ... won a season-best five straight dual matches from Mar. 27-Apr. 3 which included 2-0 sweeps over CSU Bakersfield, Vanguard, Pacific, Concordia and St. Katherine ... finished 2-1 at the Big West Tournament with victories over Sacramento State (Apr. 30) and CSU Bakersfield (Apr. 30).
CSUN - 2020 (Sophomore)
Maughan played in all five matches for CSUN during the abbreviated 2020 season ... paired with fellow sophomore Darbi Honeycutt for three matches, posting a 2-1 record playing as CSUN's No. 2 pair ... in two seasons, the Honeycutt/Maughan pairing had a record of 19-12 ... the pair's winning percentage of .613 ranks fourth in program history ... has 20 individual wins as a Matador, which is 11th in CSUN history behind the trio of Taylor Brydon, Lauren Conati and Lexi McLeod who rank 10th with 22 wins ... opened the season with straight-set wins over The Master's and Cal State LA (Mar. 31) before falling to San Francisco in three sets at the Big West/West Coast Challenge in Santa Cruz (Mar. 7) ... played the final two matches in Santa Cruz with Seyvion Waggoner at No. 2, defeating Santa Clara (2-0) before falling to Saint Mary's (2-0) to finish the season with a 4-1 record.
CSUN - 2019 (Freshman)
Maughan played in all 28 CSUN beach volleyball matches during her first season ... posted a 17-11 overall match playing with Darbi Honeycutt ... the pair finished 17-9 at No. 2 and played twice in the No. 1 match (0-2) ... earned second team All-Big West honors ... finished 12-6 in dual matches and 5-5 in tournament play ... the pair picked up its first collegiate win, 2-0 over Vanguard (Feb. 28) ... won a season-high six straight matches from Apr. 11-26 ... 12 of the pair's 17 wins came by 2-0 sweep ... picked up the Matador's lone win in a 4-1 loss at No. 3 Pepperdine (Mar. 2) and also had CSUN's one win against No. 7 Cal Poly (Mar. 29) ... finished 2-2 at the Big West Tournament at Zuma Beach with 2-1 wins over both UC Davis (Apr. 26) and CSU Bakersfield (Apr. 27).

Maughan lettered in both indoor volleyball and swimming at Centennial High School in Bakersfield, Calif. ... was a setter for the Golden Hawks and coach Penny Roberts ... was a two-time team captain while earning second team and honorable mention all-league honors ... also earned Scholar Athlete of the Week accolades ... was a teammate of current Matador Lexi McLeod ... graduated in 2018.
