Colleen Boyd completed her second season as an assistant coach with the Matadors in 2015. Under her tutelage, Matador goalkeepers posted a 1.22 goals-against average in 2015 and a 1.01 GAA in 2014. Also, Jovani McCaskill held opponents to a 0.80 GAA en route to earning a 2014 Big West Conference Honorable Mention nod.Â
A former All-American and professional soccer player, Colleen Boyd joined the CSUN women's soccer program as an assistant coach in March of 2014. With the Matadors, she works with the goalkeepers and defense in addition to other administrative responsibilities.
A 2012 graduate of Oregon State, Boyd was a standout goalkeeper for the Beavers during her collegiate career. She earned NSCAA All-American honors, All-Pac 12 honors and All-West Region honors during her four-year career. She ended her career with the most shutouts and lowest goals-against-average in program history and was a two-time captain and competed in three NCAA Tournament.Â
Following her time in Corvallis, Ore., Boyd played two seasons of professional soccer. She played a year with the WPSL Western New York Flash in Buffalo, N.Y., and helped lead the squad to the league championship. Boyd also played a season for the Boston Breakers as part of the NWSL.Â
