2020 (SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Finished 11th in the 800m at the San Diego Collegiate Challenge Mar. 7...ran 2:22.58 during the race...named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR: Finished a season-best 10th in a season-best time of 2:31.90 in the 800m at the Lumberjack Team Challenge Jan. 17...entered the mile at the MPSF Championship in lone appearance in the race during the season...finished 46th in a time of 5:18.90...named Academic All-MPSF.
CROSS COUNTRY: Was the top-finishing Matador in the three races she entered for CSUN…placed 36h at the season-opening USD Invite Sept. 13, running 25:03.5 over the 6k course….was 51st at The Master’s Invitational Sept. 28, posting a time of 19:03.2 on the 3.11m course…finished 51st in a career-best 6k time of 22:41.2 at the Big West Championships...selected Academic All-Conference.
2019 (FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Ran season bests in the 1500m (4:48.70) and the 5000m (18:38.57) at the Big West Championship…turned a season best fourth-place finish in the 5000m at the Triton Invitational (18:52.65)...ran the 800m twice with a best time of 2:21.57 coming at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate.
INDOOR: Competed twice during the indoor season…ran the mile at the University of New Mexico Don Kirby Invitational, going 5:39.93…was a member of the CSUN distance medley relay team that finished 17th at the MPSF Championship.
CROSS COUNTRY: Saw action in three events…posted a 5k best of 19:36.80 during the Highlander Invitational…finished 67th in Big West Championship after running 24:47 over 6k course.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2018 graduate of Alta Loma High School…lettered in cross country and track and field all four years on the prep level…graduated with honors.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Oscar and Merianne Segovia…majoring in communicative disorders…favorites include Hot Cheetos, the TV show “The Office” and the music of Brockhampton…likes to nap in her free time…says she would like to be stranded on a desert island with “my dogs.”
