OUTDOOR: Ran the 800 meters at the outdoor season-opening Northridge Invitational...clocked a time of 2:35.72.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Finished 71st in a time of 25:39.7 at the 2009 Big West Cross Country Championship.
2009 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the Matadors' program.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Granada Hills, Calif...competed in both track and cross country...named Rookie of the Year for the Cougars track team in 2004...earned All-Mission League honors in cross country and track...also earned the school's Scholar Athlete award...graduated with a 3.7 grade point average.
PERSONAL:Daughter of Veronica and Arnoldo Gomez...a liberal studies major...has one younger brother, Arnold...is the first member of her family to go to college...favorites include the Los Angeles Dodgers, Mexican soccer star Omar Bravo, the TV show "America's Best Dance Crew", the movies "Million Dollar Baby" and "Freedom Writers" and the band Aventura...listens to music and dances in her free time.
