Danae Delfin begins her third year as a member of the CSUN Sports Medicine staff in the fall of 2019. She joined CSUN Athletics as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in August 2017 and works primarily with the men’s and women’s track & field programs and provides healthcare oversight for the men’s and women’s cross country and women’s tennis programs.
Prior to CSUN, Delfin completed an internship at UC San Diego working with the men’s water polo, softball, women’s rowing and men and women’s fencing programs.
Delfin graduated magna cum laude with a Master of Science Degree in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University while working as a graduate assistant with women’s soccer and women’s tennis. She has also worked with West Torrance High School, Beach Cities Orthopedic and Sports Medicine and Long Beach Bombers Ice Hockey.
Delfin has been a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 2014. She is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the National Athletic Trainers Association and the College Athletic Trainers Society.
Delfin earned her Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Long Beach State in 2013. She was awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Award in Kinesiology during her final undergraduate semester.
