2010 (R-SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Qualified for the 800 meters at the Big West Championship...finished 13th in the prelims in a time of 2:16.63...ran a career-best 2:16.14 to finish second in her section of the 800 at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific (Apr. 16)...also ran a season-best 5:03.01 in the 1,500 meters at the Tiny Lister Classic (Apr. 24).
INDOOR: Ran an indoor season-best 2:18.83 at the season-opening UW Invitational in Seattle, Wash. (Jan. 30)...finished 13th at the MPSF Indoor Championship in a time of 2:18.98.
2009 (R-FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Qualified for the 800 meters at the Big West Championship...ran a season-best 2:20.72 in the prelims but did not reach the final...also ran the 400 meters during the outdoor season posting a season-best of 1:00.52 at the Bryan Clay Invitational (Apr. 17).
INDOOR: Did not compete.
2008 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the Matadors' program.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Tulare Western High School...earned MVP honors for the Mustangs' cross country team in 2005 and 2006...the track team was four-time EYL champions and the cross country squad was three-time champions...ran the 800 meters and in the 4x400 relay on the track.
PERSONAL: Daugther of Maria and Jose Luis Gallegos Sr...major is Business Management...has one older brother, Jose Luis Jr. who attends UC Irvine...favorites include the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Lakers, actor Chad Michael Murray and the TV shows "One Tree Hill" and "Smallville"...says the toughest thing about being an athlete is "having to wake up early for practice and meets".
