Carisa Barron appeared in all 32 matches while starting 22 of 23 matches ... earned honorable mention All-Big West honors after posting six triple-doubles on the season ... finished the season with a team-high 624 assists while averaging 5.07 assists per set ... also ranked third on the team with a career-high 253 kills (2.6 kps) ... hit .187 on 744 swings ... notched her first collegiate triple-double against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Sept. 16) with 27 assists, 18 digs and 10 kills ... put down a career-high 19 kills on .474 hitting along with 22 assists and 10 digs against UC Riverside (Oct. 15) ... also scooped up a career-high 22 digs in CSUN's 3-2 win over TAMUCC.
CSUN - 2021 (Freshman)
Barron appeared in all 30 matches and 113 sets during her freshman season ... made 23 starts at setter ... finished with a team-high 606 assists while averaging 5.36 assists per set which ranked 13th in the Big West ... tied for fourth on the team with 20 aces (0.18 per ser) and was fourth with 174 digs (1.54 dps) ... had 11 assists, four digs and one ace in her collegiate debut against Denver (Aug. 27) ... posted a season-high 36 assists at Cal State Fullerton (Nov. 13) ... ranked second on the team with five double-doubles including a 36 assist-16 dig performance at Cal State Fullerton (Nov. 13) ... also had 30 assists and 10 digs at UC Irvine (Oct. 30) ... served two aces in a match five times, most recently in the season finale at Hawai'i (Nov. 26).
LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL
Barron played both setter and opposite at Liberty High School in Bakersfield, Calif. ... the Patriots finished with a 26-7 overall record in 2019 with Barron posting seven kills and 10 assists in a Central Section Div-I semifinal win over Arroyo Grande in 2019 ... graduated in 2021.

Born in Bakersfield, Calif. ... parents are Melisa and Chris Barron ... has one brother, Brock and one sister, Maya ... her mom competed in track and field at UCLA and Colorado ... favorite food is sushi and least favorite in mushrooms ... says the best thing about being an athlete is "being able to see all the hard work making a difference when you play" and the toughest thing is "staying mentally strong when you're not having your best day" ... majoring in communication disorders.
