Ari Homayun completed her first season as an assistant coach on John Price's indoor staff in 2022.
Homayun was named an Assistant Coach for the CSUN indoor team in July of 2022 while also being promoted to Associate Head Coach of the Matador Beach Volleyball team.
Under the tutelage of the CSUN coaching staff, sophomore setter Carisa Barron earned honorable mention accolades and libero Breanna Mitchell was named to the All-Freshman Team.
Barron earned honorable mention recognition from the conference's 11 head coaches after leading the Matadors in assists with 624 (5.07 aps) while also ranking third in both kills (253) and digs (272) and fourth in blocks (57).  After posting her first career triple-double in CSUN's five-set win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sept. 16, Barron added five more triple-doubles in 20 Big West matches. The only Big West women's volleyball player with multiple triple-doubles this season (UC Riverside's Tayler Hifo had one), Barron had five triples in her last 14 matches of the season.
After joining the Matador Beach program as an assistant coach in 2022, Homayun has led CSUN to a program-record 17 wins in each of the past two seasons.
The Former University of Hawai'i standout spent the 2021 season as an assistant coach on head coach Todd Rogers' staff at Cal Poly. In her one season in San Luis Obispo, she helped the Mustangs to a 24-11 overall record which included the program's first-ever NCAA Championship match win (3-2 vs. Stanford). Cal Poly finished the 2021 season with a No. 6 national ranking and was ranked in the top 10 of the AVCA Collegiate Beach Coaches Top-20 the entire season. The Mustangs won their second straight Big West Championship before being selected for their second NCAA Championship appearance.
She joined the staff at Cal Poly after spending one season at Hawai'i in 2020 as a volunteer assistant coach for the Rainbow Wahine beach volleyball team.
A 2019 graduate of Hawai'i, Homayun earned her bachelor's degree in secondary education in social studies after enjoying a decorated four-year career on the sand. She finished as UH's all-time leader in overall (118) and dual (115) match wins and was a multi-time All-Big West, AVCA Top Flight Award, and academic All-Big West honoree.
A native of West Hills, Calif., Homayun prepped at El Camino Real Charter High School in Woodland Hills, Calif. where she was a letterwinner in volleyball.
