Lauryn Anderson appeared in 28 matches and 105 of CSUN's 113 sets during her sophomore season ... made 23 starts at middle blocker ... finished the season with a career-high 135 kills while averaging a career-best 1.29 kills per set ... ranked second on the team with a .253 hitting percentage on a career-high 380 attacks ... tied for the team lead (Taylor Hunter) with 79 total blocks which included a team-leading 14 solo stuffs which ranked 18th in the Big West ... also contributed 35 digs (0.33 dps) seven aces (0.07 saps) and five assists ... was also fourth on the squad with 17 aces (0.35 saps) and was sixth on the squad with 33 total blocks which included seven solo stuffs ... posted double figures in kills twice, including a season-high 11 kills (.450) against UC Irvine (Sept. 24) ... posted 10 kills and two blocks at UC San Diego (Oct. 29) ... hit a career-high .667 with six kills on nine errorless swings along with a career-high seven blocks and a season-high two aces against Pacific (Sept. 11) ... was one of seven Matador players named to the Big West Academic All-Conference Team.

Anderson appeared in 14 matches and 49 sets in her first season on the active roster ... earned 12 starts at middle blocker ... finished the season with 55 kills while averaging 1.12 kills per set ... ranked second on the team with a .276 hitting percentage on 134 attacks ... was also fourth on the squad with 17 aces (0.35 saps) and was sixth on the squad with 33 total blocks which included seven solo stuffs ... posted her first collegiate kill against UNLV (Aug. 30) where she wound up with a season-high 13 kills on a season-high 21 attempts to hit .476 ... hit a season-high .500 against Idaho (Sept. 21) ... had a season-high six blocks in the Matadors' straight-set win at Grand Canyon (Sept. 20) ... served a season-high four aces against both Fresno State (Sept. 6) and Nevada (Sept. 13) ... was one of seven Matador players named to the Big West Academic All-Conference Team.

Anderson started all four years at El Camino Real Charter High School in Woodland Hills, Calif. ... played middle blocker a majority of her high school career ... played her final two seasons for coach Alyssa Lee ... led the Conquistadors to a 26-12 record and West Valley League and LA City Section Division I Championships in 2015 ... earned Most Valuable Player honors in 2016 and Most Improved Player in 2015 ... was a Daily News All-Area second-team selection in 2016 ... graduated in 2018.

Born in West Hills, Calif. ... parents are Deirdre and Antonio Anderson ... has two brothers, Ashland and Amari ... her father played football at Montana State while sister Ashland also attends CSUN ... favorites include the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry and Michael Jordan, the TV shows "Stranger Things" and "Riverdale" and the music of Migos ... says she chose CSUN because "it's close to home, beautiful gym, great coaches and support from club teammates" ... lists her greatest sports moment as "winning LA City Section Div. I Championship in 2015, the first time in our school's history" ... says the best thing about being an athlete is "having something to look forward to every day, having a second family in your teammates and staying in shape" ... plans on majoring in mathematics.
