"We talked about discipline going into the game. Sacramento State has a unique style and a unique way of playing the game. It is interesting to prepare for them, but it is a good challenge. We just talked about being disciplined enough to do what we do on every possession regardless of what they were doing," CSUN head coach Jason Flowers said.
Lister finished a perfect 5-for-5 from 3-point range and added three rebounds, two assists and three steals in 37 minutes of action.Â
"I thought our guards found open people, we attacked the paint when necessary and kicked it out when necessary," Lister said. "Our guards really did a great job of penetrating and kicking out and we hit our open shots. We took smart shots."
Sharpe was second on the team Sunday with 16 points, finishing 6-of-9 from the field. She tied for the team lead with eight rebounds and also had two assists and a steal. Sharpe now needs just two points to reach 1,000 for her career.
